Slack
When your organisation connects Slack, Zahen can message you, take requests, and collect approvals — all inside Slack.
Getting notified
Section titled “Getting notified”Zahen sends you a direct message when a request you started finishes, or when a task is waiting for your approval. These are the same notifications you’d see on the bell in the web app.
Zahen recognises you by matching your Slack email to your Zahen account. If they don’t match, it can’t message you — ask your administrator to line them up.
Starting an assistant
Section titled “Starting an assistant”Use a slash command to start a request without leaving Slack:
- Type the Zahen slash command (your administrator will tell you which — e.g.
/agent). - Pick the assistant; a short form opens.
- Fill it in and submit.
Zahen creates the task and replies with a link so you can follow it. The form is the same one the assistant shows in the web app — so anything you can start there, you can start here.
Approving from Slack
Section titled “Approving from Slack”If you’re an approver, an approval request can arrive as a Slack message with Approve and Reject buttons. Choosing one records your decision and resumes (or stops) the task — exactly as it would in the approvals queue.
When something doesn’t work
Section titled “When something doesn’t work”- No messages arriving? Your Slack email probably doesn’t match your Zahen account — ask your administrator.
- Slash command says you can’t? You may not have the role to run that assistant. See What your role lets you do.
